Technology has always been how I make sense of complexity.
I’m Thomas Cabral, an engineer and lifelong technologist based in Florida. I build software, shape systems, and help people see the path through difficult technical problems.
My path into technology started before it was a career. As a teenager, I was building computers, pulling systems apart, and learning by understanding how every piece connected. That curiosity never left—it just expanded from hardware into software, infrastructure, products, and teams.
Over more than a decade in software, I’ve learned that the hardest problems are rarely only technical. Good engineering means understanding context, making the tradeoffs clear, and building something that works for the people on the other side of the screen.
Today, I split my attention between software architecture, hands-on engineering, and building FlowState Technology Solutions. I’m still happiest in the details—exploring a new tool, tracing a strange failure, or finding the simple model hiding inside a complicated system.

When a design rests on theory, build enough of the real thing to stress it, measure it, and discover where the idea stops being true.
